E61 - Internet Radio

Ho anche installato il client open source della Nokia per ascoltare la radio via Internet. Ancora una volta l'E61 non compare nella lista dei cellulari supportati però funziona alla meraviglia. Basta installare sul cellulare sia lo Shoutcast engine che l'internet radio client che si trovano nel sito citato nel titolo (si possono prima scaricare sul computer e poi trasferire al cellulare, non volendo farlo direttamente dal browser del cellulare - si potrebbe? Non ho provato!).

L'applicazione ha già una playlist inserita che contiene radio che trasmettono salsa e hits degli anni 80. Per poterne aggiungere altre, bisogna creare una playlist sul pc, cercare la directory Shoutcast sul cellulare usando un file manager e trasferirla lì dentro.

You can also create and install your own playlists for the Radio app to use. The Shoutcast plugin will search for playlists in the \Shoutcast directory of every drive on the device. Found playlist(s) will be automatically parsed and added to the playlist menu.

To create your own playlist, you can use Winamp (or another similar program) to import and modify the default playlist, or to create your own playlists of Shoutcast radio stations. Export the playlist to a .pls file, and copy one or more playlists to the Shoutcast directory. When you open the application, the stations in all playlists will be available for selection.

I tasti del volume non funzionano, bisogna usare il joystick verso sinistra o verso destra.

Ho notato che le radio che trasmettono in mono e con pochi Kb si sentono bene, mentre quelle in stereo vanno spesso in "buffering", anche con connessione WiFi.

Il client si può usare anche come lettore di altri file. Sono supportati: MP3, AAC, eAAC+, MP4, M4A, WMA, 3GPP, AMR, e WAV.
